Guest guest
Hi , I have to tell you that when it comes to Medicaid, my son was qualified regardless of our income. We are not " rich " nor " poor. My husband has a decent job, and we are grateful for that. In other words, it has nothing to do with income. My son was qualified because of his ASD diagnosis. I know first hand how much it costs for all these pullups. We use up to 2-3 packages per week. Furthermore, I know how much it costs to raise a son with all the costs of the biomedical interventions of which the insurance does not cover and the behavioral therapy needed and all the educational materials i spend since I homeschool him. Not counting the special diet he is on and all the other gadgets he needs. I know the system is broken and the wait is long, but i can not condone cheating the system to get what we want. If everyone does this then system will eventually " break " and fall apart. Instead, we should work on improving the system to be more swift, fair and comprehensive. Pull-ups co-op.... Guest guest
If you are receiving Medicaid already you do not need to qualify for the CLASS program. You need to have your doctor write out a prescription for diapers, and then you should be able to easily find a company that will handle it--your doctor may even be able to tell you one they use with other patients in your area. Then the NEXT thing I would do, is write a letter to your state senator and state legislator complaining that your Medicaid case manager did not give you the proper information to obtain services that your son needs and this is why parents need to be able to choose who gives them case managment services. Last legislative session, the legislature decided that they didn't want to pay for multiple case managers, so anyone on Medicaid should be able to have and use only the Medicaid case managers. The problem is that most of the time, these case managers don't give out accurate information. I would strongly urge you to document this and send a copy to your local Medicaid office. You should have known about this. Re: Pull-ups co-op.... (off topic) -HI NICOLE, MY NAME IS CECELIA THORNTON. I HAVE A SON WHO HAS AUTISM(ASD). HE IS 6YRS. I just went through JMAR incontinence supplies ....which he said that once he got approval he could send diapers or pull-ups and wipes. Im not sure of the brand but heh we are so poor right I could care less as long as the work They do the app over the internet or phone and fax your doc for a signature then get medicaids approval. --------------------------------- Get your own web address for just $1.99/1st yr.
