Guest guest
I know that in the NW, the people are all deficient in selenium. Cancer marker tests were done and they have nearly doubled. Her doctor told her this means she is either dieing or getting well, great prognosis. My question, has anyone had experience with their cancer and selenium ? Non of my other clients have used selenium except by added it to the watering can to feed their wheatgrass crops. I.E. Guest guest
I am not sure how much this fits, but I have terminal bladder cancer with two metastases left in the bone structure-the right hip and the right shoulder. I zap nightly using an EM+, dual tube plasma device. I had been taking selenium in weeks past (one 200 mg capsule a day before breakfast) but have stopped now as I've been told to avoid it while I take Protocel (Cantron, actually), Paw Paw and chlorophyll, and have gone from 160 lbs to 177 lbs. This has been accomplished as I go through chemo. My bones are supposed to hurt plenty but don't and I have lots more energy that I am supposed to. While my pre-cancer training weight (I used to be a black belt in Tang Soo Do) hovered around 210 lbs, all the other patients on more or less the same drug cocktail are still shedding weight and in fact some are on a wheel chair. I am not sure if this is due to the Cantron, the Paw Paw, the chlorophyll, the EM+ or the combination of them all, but I am told that chances are good that I may be declared cancer free come February. After being told I would not see this past summer. My understanding is that the cancerous growth may increase in size before it starts to die off and therefore some markers may go up. Personally I'd take the selenium if its use does not clash with anything else on the menu: Dr. for example mentions that cancer patients are very likely to need this substance. Guest guest
I was just reading something about selenium last night. In whole foods, selenium does not exist alone, but as part of the Vitamin E complex. Included in this complex is alpha, beta, gamma and delta tocopherols; xanthine; liposotols; and selenium. In Going Back to Basics, Frost discusses how a single (synthesized) nutrient, if administered over a long period, causes deficiencies because the body takes the other nutrient " co-factors " from either foods or its own stores to properly process the synthesized, single vitamin or mineral that was administered. Brazil nuts are very high in selenium. Being a food, they contain all the co-factors that the body uses along with selenium. Guest guest
Hi Bil I found out that Brazil nuts can be used to get heaps of Selenium and not only that if you have them with Apricot kernels they taste much better. I use 5 Apricot kernels to 1 Brazil nut for myself. Also it is very hard to overdo organic Selenium unless you are without cancer Brazil nuts taste great too! Guest guest
I have a great interest in Brazil nuts and selenium. FWIW, Brazil nuts are a staple food and are pressed for their oil and the pulp is used as we use grain flour. The limitations on selenium come from the toxic non-bio-available (usually man-made)forms. Selenium, as you recall is used to make thyroid hormones and to convert them, too. It is also used to pacify viruses. Viruses derive their virulence from the number of selenium atoms required to " pacify " them. Ebola virus requires 11 atoms of Selenium per virus. Hence fulminating infection... Oh, btw, if you want to avoid a mouthful of moldy tasting Brazil nut, nibble a bit off each one before you eat them... Preparing to pulverize them into muffins for the munchkins? Use a paring knife to cut off a taste of each one... HTH, .... > > Hi Bil I found out that Brazil nuts can be used to get heaps of Selenium > and > not only that if you have them with Apricot kernels they taste much > better. > I use 5 Apricot kernels to 1 Brazil nut for myself. Guest guest
Hi, For Selenium : Try carrot juice. Selenium is higher in carrots from North(NY type) than Calif. Also juice other roots:Beet, potatoes, ginger, etc. See juicing books. For trace minerals: Try a bath with one pound of Dead Sea Salt one time/week. Larger crystals have more minerals. These salts have 60+ trace minerals. You will absorb apx. 2% thru the skin in a 20-30 minute fairly hot bath. Also try drinking MOORLIFE or NORIMOOR with trace amt. of 300+ herbs and minerals. Did you know that you can take in Vitamins, minerals, etc. thru frequencies. See LeVoi at:www.harmonyera.com. She used to sell a 4 CD set called Lifessence Series. You can also do this with a frequency generator. As we learn to take care of ourselves, it will not matter even if they try to outlaw minerals with CODEX. Guest guest
Hi Bil, Organic carrots and other roots are much higher. You may eat 3.5oz (1/4-1/3 of a carrot)but when you juice you you are taking in much more. It concentrates it. One 8-12oz. glass contains 7-8+ carrots. With their figures, you would take in 21-32x's the selenium in one glass.USDA figures are by the book and hardly apply to our lifestyles. You may not need 200mcg. daily. A smaller amt. may activate the selenium already in your system. Even homeopathic amt.'s can do this. As Cacye used trace amt.'s of gold vibration to activate the gold in our system for arthritus. Guest guest
Hi , The amount of selenium in one glass of carrot juice (made from non-organic carrots) is incredibly low. According to the USDA figure of 0.1mcg per 3.5 oz serving of raw carrots. Organic carrots won't make enough difference. You'd be far better off eating Brazil nuts. Selenium does NOT get concentrated when you make carrot juice. There is Less selenium. Most of the carrot is wasted in the form of pulp. So if you start out with seven 4 oz. carrots (enough to make a glass of carrot juice), you end up with a whopping 0.8mcg of selenium (if somehow all the selenium really did end up in the juice). But you need as much as 100 times this amount for good health. I didn't get the 200mcg figure from a government source. This is what selenium researchers and others recommend to prevent cancer and for good health. Even if organic carrots have 10 times the amount of selenium a glass of carrot juice would contain only 8mcg. Some people don't absorb minerals as well as others, so it's better to take a good quality high potency natural supplement and know how much you are getting. Yes, extremely small amounts of a substance can have a homeopathic effect, but that won't save you when you are dangerously low in a mineral needed to build bones or tissue. Homeopathic amounts of calcium and magnesium won't fill in the holes in your bones if you have osteoporosis.
