Hello to everyone, This is Steve from CA. and I just wanted to post a short

update. I started reading this forum around 2 years ago when I found out that I

had hepatitis C for the past 40 years. I was shocked to say the least. What to

do now, well after reading the old posts I jumped in and got some very good

information from many of you folks who are still on the list. I was afraid to

even do the bio, stick a needle in my stomach for 48 weeks was out of the

question. But slowly but surely I made the decision to try treatment. Yes it was

the worse year of my life, my treatment left me bed ridden for 10 out of the 11

months. There was not a day that I did not want to quit, but through this forum

and private emails from Jackie who helped me find my doctor at UCLA and my very

loving and caring wife I made it through the 48 weeks. Now 4 months later my

doctor at UCLA say I am SVR. Whoyaaaaa I waited a long long time to be able to

write those words to this group who helped me so much. Everyone was such a

encouragement. As I said I had it for over 40 years, my liver was and still is

in bad shape, I think my readings were a 2-3 on both tests. Anyway I just wanted

to thank you all again, I know I didnt post much after I started treatment

because I couldnt get out of bed a lot of days. So anyone here thinking of

treatment I encourage you to go for it. Life is good once more for me, I feel

better then I did before I started treatment, I have much more energy and I am

back running my environmental company and loving life. I give God the glory for

clearing the virus. He is a mighty God who loves us and cares for our every

need.

God Bless you all.

Steve in CA.
