Guest guest
Hi folks, I am a big proponent of using red leaf lettuce, green leaf lettuce, and romaine lettuce, for salad. My wife, however, when she shops, will usually purchace some iceburg lettuce with one of the others I mentioned. She claims that she likes the crunchiness that it gives. My question is this, are there any health benefits to iceburg lettuce, at all? I know that, if any, they are not what the others offer. And, if I go to a restaurant, or to a friend's house, and there they offer a salad with iceburg lettuce, only, I will eat it with pleasure. My feeling is that, at the very least, it offers some fiber benefits. What do you guys think? huehue
