Want to help Parents of Autistic Children of Oregon field test a math fact

app?

To load this app on your own iPad (not available through the Apple Store

yet), you will need:

1. An iPad (any generation)

2. Wifi to download the app

3. Email to get the message with the link to download the app

4. A little bit of time to fill out our questionnaire that steps you

through using the app for the first time under the feedback tab

The poacMath Fact App allows home study or school students to practice math

facts in a structured manner with effective error correction. If used in a

school setting with 1-10 iPads in a classroom, students will be assigned an

iPad and be given an account.

This app:

* Tracks student progress based on 1 minute timings and 2 minute practices

* Uses an admin account to set up student accounts and be able to

individualize default values for each student. Adjust-ability allows for

students to have different start places in operation or set number, shorter

or longer timings, recycling of incorrectly answered facts, and number facts

to be answered incorrectly

* Allows math facts to be changed to align with curriculum, student needs,

or preferences

* Emails or downloads student results into excel or database in .csv format

Practice Mode

* Facts are reciprocated (0+2, 2+0)for quicker learning

* Uses a flexible and effective error correction procedure

Test Mode

* To pass set must get 40 correct and only get 2 incorrect in 1 minute

(default can be changed)

* When passed, student moves to next set (about 26 in each operation)
