freezer storage question

I know many of you just use a cold storage room, etc. when using the

lactofermented veggies, etc. I am wanting to do some prep work ahead of

time, in the style of Once-a-month cooking, however, I am at a loss of

what I can store them in. The bulk cooking websites advance, glass

casseroles, but I have only so many of them. They also suggest

Gladware, not an option for the obvious reasons, or Ziploc bags, for the

same reasons.

I am interested in using glass canning jars with the plastic lids, but

am leary of using my canning jars, for fear them are not made for

freezing (ie. The glass is not thick enough). We homeschool and run an

organic grass-based farm and there just are not enough hours in the day

sometimes. So I am hoping to spend a day or two, getting some stuff in

the freezer to pull out and pop in the oven or crockpot when time is

running short.

I am hoping to look for something when I leave to go shopping later this

afternoon (about 3 hours from now) so if anyone has ideas, please let me

know. I do not have a pressure canner, which would alleviate the

obvious need for something to go in the freezer. Maybe I should see if

the pressure canners are marked down being it is almost November.

TIA,

Kristi
