Guest guest
Anyone have comments on various bed-wetting alarms? Lots of variables to consider, and I can’t return it if I choose the wrong one. : ( My ASD son is 5; 98% self-initiating by day (with some leaking before he actually asks for the bathroom); hates any bands, cords, paraphernalia on his body; moderately deep sleeper. At night, we use overnite diaper + booster pad + vinyl pants with cotton liner + wetting pad on bed (over top of sheet) + mattress wrapped in plastic. They say wait until age 6, but I see no reason to reinforce the fact that he can urinate at will when in bed. Seems like the earlier we address it, the better. I think I have the energy to tackle this one now. Personal experiences? Should I try taking to potty every few hours throughout the night first. If that doesn’t work, get an alarm? What has worked for you? Thank in advance! -
