Liver Biopsy Done! We know the results are Chronic but. . .

My DH (Russ) has HCV & the beginning stages of kidney disease due to

diabetes.(my older sister does too she had a biopsy day after his except she is

in end stage renal disease and needs a kidney transplant).

We still have to see the doctor to find out what our next step is. This going to

happen on this Wed. afternoon. What should I be asking? My husband shuts down

and I have to be on top of this.

Should I get a copy of the all his past labs and ask for a copy of the biopsy?

If anyone has a basic list of questions to ask, I would greatly appreciate it.

This doctor does not speak in layman terms, he is got a crappy bedside manner,

but I am told he is excellent at what he does.

Someone else told me we should be going to a heptologist, instead of a gastro

specialist, any advice on that issue?
