Guest guest
" The reqs to be in the group seem a bit guarded against anyone 'doing research'. " That's in reference to the many psychologists who come in here looking for lab rats for their studies. I personally have been in Aspie forums just about since the first forums came on the internet, and one of the things I learned very quickly was that there are researchers out there who enjoy getting their research specimens from the net. Some of their experiments for diagnosing, treating, curing, or researching autism have resulted in more harm than good. I want the members here to be free from that, and the members themselves have requested to be free from that. Though unique, we are not humans and individuals, and ought to be treated as such. With that said, if you are just looking to have personal questions answered, you are more than welcome to answer them. Administrator
Guest guest
Hi Javerzak; If you enjoy learning about the past to see how an organization has grown to become what it is now, you could read some of the archived messages; If that is too time consuming f or you, there are many helpful links and files in the home site.rl 'My cat Rusty is a servant of the Living God....'adapted from a poem by SmartTo: FAMSecretSociety Sent: Mon, April 26, 2010 12:38:23 AMSubject: 'welcome', thank you, 'welcome', thank you. I recieved both welcome, thank you in duplicate. So far, having been in the group for just a few minutes, you're speaking my language. Lately my subject has been religion, deism, gnosticism among many others. But is it common for aspies to be addicted to the internet. You'll see me pose this question to the group to gather concensus to better understand myself. But before I do that, please advise. I've never been formally diagnosed with A.S. but I have read about it and even took some online profile tests for it and indications are I may be an Aspie. I would say a mild case but nonetheless. If anything I'm here to learn more but most importantly if I am an Aspie. If not, I won't lurk this group any longer but I am hoping to learn more. That is part of who I am and what I doing here. Glad to be here, Thank you. >
