The Special Guide - online reviews by and for the special needs community

Dear parents,

I'd like to let you know about a brand new and different resource: The Special Guide (www.thespecialguide.com).  The Special Guide lets parents of children with special needs or learning challenges search for and share reviews of local therapits, doctors, school, camps and other businesses and service providers.  Think of it as a yelp.com, Angie's List or Kudzu.com -- for reviews by and for the special needs community.

All reviews are anonymous (unless the user does not care for them to be).  Please note that there is a time lag of a few hours between the time users enter their review and the time the review publishes on the site.  This is to allow us to reivew them and be sure that any inappropriate or abusive reviews are filtered out.

It was a lot of hard work (much more than we actually anticipated) accumulating all the information for the site, and working to develop the site -- but well worth it.  The Special Guide promises to be an excellent resource for parents of children with special needs or learning challenges.  And the more people that submit reiews, the more valuable a resource it will be.  We look forward to seeing it grow and receiving all the feedback from the users!
