Obama Administration Bills BP, Others $100M More For Oil Spill

DOW JONES NEWSWIRES

The Obama administration on Tuesday said it billed BP Plc (BP, BP.LN) and others

$100 million for costs related to the Gulf of Mexico oil disaster.

It represents the fourth bill the administration has sent to BP and comes as the

company is trying to determine whether its latest attempt to plug the leak has

worked.

The Obama administration said in a statement that BP and other responsible

parties have paid the three prior bills sent by the government, totaling $122

million.

The bills are for clean-up costs related to the spill, including protecting

shorelines and capturing oil.
