Guest guest Posted September 19, 2010 Report Share Posted September 19, 2010 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED for the Georgia Race for Autism and Family Fun Day Saturday, October 2, 2010 This year one in every 110 babies born in the United States will be diagnosed with Autism. Please support the Autism Society of America - Greater Georgia Chapter and Spectrum Autism Support Group by signing up as a VOLUNTEER for the Georgia Race for Autism and Family Fun Day. The Georgia Race for Autism and Family Fun Day will be held on Saturday, October 2nd at the Gwinnett County Fairgrounds, 2405 Sugarloaf Parkway, Lawrenceville, Georgia. The proceeds go directly to the Autism Society of America – Greater Georgia Chapter and Spectrum Autism Support Group. Please visit http://www.GeorgiaRaceForAutism.com to learn more about the event. Click on the volunteer tab on the right side of the screen to register as a volunteer. You can also help by making a donation to the Georgia Race for Autism fund-raising team. If you would like to support the ASA fundraising team, please visit www.GeorgiaRaceForAutism.com and click the link to " Other Teams " and then " ASA-GA " on the right side of the page. You can also create your own fundraising team by clicking " Create a Team " on the race website. Your support could send children with ASD to camp, provide a seminar and resource fair for families with newly diagnosed children, fund an educator training seminar, create a training program for professionals working with adults on the autism spectrum, or give children the opportunity to have a private appointment to visit Santa. These are just a few of the great things that ASA and Spectrum provide. Please help families affected with Autism by supporting this event. Be sure to register to run one of the races and be sure to bring your family and friends out to enjoy the Family Fun Day.
