white/wheat flour

I think I need to clear up something I wrote to Dani. I said I have no

problems with flour, either wheat or white. That part is true, but I also do not

make a habit of having it daily. I simply do not feel the need for it at every

meal as I used to. Also I do not work and need to make a sandwich for lunch,

so again I am ahead there. I had a pancake today, and that is all the flour I

had, the rest was meat and vegetables. Also I don't have a husband to worry

about if I do have a problem, which I must admit is not that often,

thankfully. I do have my times though when I am thankful that there is no one

around.

I have not been able to pinpoint it down to any single food. I have not had a

problem eating what I want, and I eat a normal amount. I feel so like a

normal person today. I do not diet, as Dr. K just told me, again, that he does

not want me to diet. I have maintained this 115 pds. off for six months now

and though I would like to lose more, I am happy. I am by no means small, but I

am comfortable with my weight and size. I am able to go and do things I had

not done in years. The only thing I hate about this surgery is taking my

supplements. I do take them, but I can still hate it. I hate taking pills. I

was

on 17 prescriptions before the surgery, and I am on 3 now, which are lifetime

things, so I have always had to take, and hate to take pills. I don't take

anymore pills, just different kinds. I am trying to not get myself into the

problems I hear about. I just am so thankful for my new lease on life. I was

terribly depressed before, as we all know, when you cannot go and do for

yourself it makes you feel worthless, and I truly did. I could not mop my own

kitchen floor. Now it is a breeze. Just so many things that losing thta 115,

which

is a small amount in comparison to lots of our fellow DSers, but to me, I am

NORMAL. What a wonderful feeling.

Dani, my heart bleeds for you, for all you have gone through and are still

going through. I truly hope that Dr. K can do for you what he has done for me.

God Bless.
