P2P Lunch & Learn Webinar: Engaging Families in Helping Students with Disabilities Stay in School and Graduate

December 8, 2010

12 - 1pm

In today's world, a high school diploma is key to opening the doors to more options for our children.  We are pleased to have Ms. Brown, the Director of the North Georgia Learning Resource System (GLRS) as our presenter.  Ms. Brown will be sharing information & steps that we can take to help our children stay in school.

This webinar will focus on the role of families in the process of dropout prevention.  Students who are engaged in school academically, behaviorally, cognitively, and psychologically are more likely to stay in school and graduate.  An overview of recent research on the causes and risk factors associated with dropout will be shared as well as some effective practices that increase student engagement, family engagement, and school completion.
