Guest guest
, I can reccomend this colon cleanse. This four part cleanse actually pulls the gunk off the small intestine walls,(the only one I have seen that does this) and thats where you are said to absorb your vits and minerals......In the beginning, you will see the black, stringy material often depicted. Once that is cleared, you don't see it again with subsequent cleanses.  Rejuve powder from http://gaiaherbs.com  1 heaping tbspoon- add last- it gels fast  aloe vera juice -1 cup  liquid bentonite clay -1/4 cup  liquid chlorophyl 1/4 cup  Water to make a glass  Once or twice a day   Subject: Enzymes and Probiotics To: " oxyplus " <oxyplus > Date: Thursday, March 19, 2009, 11:08 PM I'm confused about digestive enzymes, pancreatic enzymes and probiotics. I'm current having some health issues and the common theme seems to be an imbalance of bacteria. First, I had major issues that I addressed here months ago: dizziness, lightheadedness, feeling like I was about to pass out, no hunger, weight loss, constant feeling of pressure in my chest, etc. The doctor told me I had acid reflux and I took some Jarodophyllus (sp?) that I had in the fridge. The problems almost immediately subsided. Most recently, I developed a nasty vaginal infection and went through a course of antibiotics it was so bad. I'm fine now. I do believe that there are underlying issues and that they have not been addressed and merely band-aided. I'm wondering how this is going to surface in the future. Also, recent bloodwork indicated that I'm anemic and that my CA-125 was elevated and at 48 (norm is below 35). This is a tumor marker for ovarian cancer which my Mom was recently diagnosed with in state 4. A vaginal ultrasound and CT Scan have been ordered. I'm concerned about the radiation from the CT Scan and thinking of doing the vaginal ultrasound first and see what is found and go from there. Yesterday, I went to an iridologist, Ivy Bridge in Tustin, CA and was told that my body is acidic, digestion is poor in stomach, small intestine has too much mucus, neck and lower spine are out, liver is toxic, pancreas is weak, lymph congested, low in calcium, left AND right lobe of thyroid are weak and immune system is low in iron. She also said that I have a bulge in my intestine or colon, I forget, that is touching my ovary. She recommended food enzymes, kelp, floradix iron, probiotic eleven from Nature's Sunshine. She also recommended a daily cleansing drink: 1/2 hour before breakfast everyday for 60 days and then every other day or as needed. 2 oz unfiltered Apple Juice 2-4 oz Purified water 2 tbsp Aloe Vera Juice 2 tbsp Chlorophyll Liquid 1 heaping tsp Psyllium Hulls Drink Quickly followed by 1-2 caps of Cascara Sagrada with 8oz purified water and more water throughout the day. With each meal take 2 food enzymes. The prices seemed high on the items that I was familiar at her store, I was confused with the options for enzymes and I really didn't have time that day to talk to someone there about the actual products but I'm interested in starting some sort of cleansing program. I definitely need to do a colon cleanse and am curious about the one listed above that she recommends. She is supposedly the " Queen of Colon " although I have never really heard of her. Anyone have any opinions on colon cleansing? The choices of enzyme products are overwhelming and I'd like to hear what others are using and why. Also, I have heard alot about probiotics and would like to know the difference between them and enzymes and which ones to use. Has anyone had an iridology consultation? I know, alot going on here, but any input would be helpful. Guest guest
Rose, this is the kind of illness we're dealing with in the candidiasis group, the largest and most successful of its kind on the Internet. You've been on antibiotics and are showing symptoms of dysbiosis. Good enough -- see you there: http://groups/yahoo/com/group/candidiasis The core approach uses inulin to feed the probiotics, and undenatured whey and selenium to correct glutathione levels. Also severe restriction on carbohydrate-heavy foods. Interestingly, lactobacilli are not prominent but bifidobactria are. Bifidobacteria can control the gut ecology INCLUDING lactobacilli numbers. Digestive enzymes and HCl are often used to improve digestion and eliminate reflux, while metabolic enzymes such as the blend BlockBuster AllClear clears blood coagulation, clots, and excess scarring and fibrosis. BB contains nattokinase, serrapeptase and Seaprose-S (all are fibrinolytics) and protease, a proteolytic. Chat later in the group. We can fix all those symptoms with diet and detox. all good, Duncan > > > I'm confused about digestive enzymes, pancreatic enzymes and probiotics. Duncan's right about recommending HCL for acid reflux. Often it's a result of not enough acic rather than too much. HCL helps with that. For colon cleansing, you can't go wrong with aloe vera juice. It's not only cleansing, but is also known for stomach disorders, ulcers, constipation, hemorrhoids, rectal itching, colitis and all colon problems. Or you can use homozon. Excellent for cleaning the colon, plus the added enegry it gives. I woudn't do both together, tho as I think that might be a little too much. Always adjust to what you can tolerate. That's a good place to start. Then see how your body reacts to it. Sometimes it's good to just try one thing at a time and see how you react to know what is doing what. Then you don't have to guess. Take care, Gail >

Guest guest
> Hello Rose, > The doctor told me I had acid reflux and I took some Jarodophyllus (sp?) that I had in the fridge. Eating soaked chia seeds, which are very mucilaginous and full of soluble fiber, can be very beneficial in helping to soothe the discomfort of acid reflux. They're also rich in omega 3s and are generally very nourishing. > > Anyone have any opinions on colon cleansing? > > > Sure. Just about everyone can benefit from cleansing the digestive tract, and there are many ways to go about it. However before you start on a cleanse, if you're not already, it's important to make sure that you're bowels are moving regularly. That means having movements at least once, if not twice, or even three times a day. A lot of people use herbs like senna or cascada sagrada to help get things moving, but my feeling is that these herbs can be harsh on the intestines. Personally I much prefer using Triphala, which is one of the most ancient and commonly used healing remedies in Ayurveda. It's very gentle and cleansing at the same time, and besides helping to normalize digestion, it's rich in vitamin C and has many other beneficial healing properties. Here's an article with lots of good information about Triphala (which means 3 fruits): http://www.mapi.com/ayurveda_health_care/newsletters/ayurveda_triphala.html You can get certified organic Triphala powder from Mountain Rose Herbs, and either mix it with water or juice, or encapsulate it yourself. You can also purchase chia seeds from them in bulk. Their prices (on just about everything) are some of the best I've found anywhere: http://www.mountainroseherbs.com I also agree with Gail that Homozon is an excellent way to cleanse the colon, and that aloe vera is a fantastic all around internal detoxifier and superfood. Eating more fresh produce and green foods like spirulina, chlorella and/or marine phytoplankton can also help to cleanse the colon. Green foods are not only very nourishing but also help to purify the blood. The same can be said for seaweeds, which are also rich in trace minerals. And depending on what your diet is like now, you may also want to address that factor as well, since combining high quality nourishment with internal cleansing is one of the most powerful formulas for helping the body to heal and stay healthy. I think thats all you need.-(along with the aloe, clay and chloro[phy) Subject: Enzymes and Probiotics To: " oxyplus " <oxyplus > Date: Thursday, March 19, 2009, 11:08 PM I'm confused about digestive enzymes, pancreatic enzymes and probiotics. Guest guest
I did and with 32 Gaia products....no Rejuve at vitacost! Enzymes and Probiotics To: " oxyplus " <oxyplus@yahoogroups .com> Date: Thursday, March 19, 2009, 11:08 PM I'm confused about digestive enzymes, pancreatic enzymes and probiotics.
