Tom's of Maine has a FF line of toothpaste. Pretty good, but, of course, they are pricier. Also, Dr. 's Tooth powder at http://www.herbsfirst.com that I've found from personal experience will actually *reverse* tooth decay. Pratick, Toms of Maine is available at most health-food stores. It is also available at Zehrs in my area. ~~ Jocelyne
Guest guest
Here's my method, Pratick: Alternate brushing with plain olive oil soap (tastes better than you think!) and baking soda flavored with a bit of peppermint essential oil (get organic oil). I do the soap at night and the soda in the morning. Kiss My Face makes a plain olive oil bar soap, but the kind I get is imported from Greece--it's green and very cheap. It MELTS tartar off of my teeth--my dentist was very impressed as I tend to have terrible tartar build-up. As for the baking soda, put a cup of soda in a plastic bag and add 4 drops of essential oil (it's very concentrated). Then mix the two together by squeezing and smooshing (that's the technical term) the bag very well--you don't want any " hot spots " of peppermint oil. Transfer the mixture to a jar. With the soda, I moisten my brush with Hydrogen Peroxide. I've heard great things about Vitality Tooth Soap (http://chetday.com/toothsoap.shtml) but it seems pretty expensive for soap...
