Guest guest
I went to followup appt today. Doctor obviously was not pleased that treatment was stopped at 19 our of 2 weeks (genotype 3A). I have Hashimoto's (autoimmune thyroid disease). My TSH level went up to 266 (should be .5-4.5). It is now 116. I still have a long way to go. I do feel much better. I do feel bad about stopping treatment. I only had 5 weeks left. Doctor is still going to test for SVR in October. I have a question about my liver biopsy. I finally have a copy of the results from January 2010. What does this mean? Grade is 2-3 (2 Cores Mild, 1 core moderate activity) Stage 1 (Mild Portal fibrosis highligted by trichrome stain) Mild Macrovesicular steatotis Iron stain reveals no increased intraparencyhmal iron PAS Stain reveals no abnormalities of the bile ducts or blood vessels The findings are compatible with the patients history of Hepatitis C. Occasional eosinophils are noted raising the possibility of a possible drug interaction also, Clinical correlation recoommended. This has never been explained to me. My doctor was so busy today, we did not have time to go over it. I hope someone can help. I am curious about what the future holds for my liver. -- Deborah
