Authorities allege Crisafulli, 13, shot his father Angelo Crisafulli, 55, in the back of the head Tuesday after the boy had been expelled from school. Records show on Jun. 22, 2006, an attorney representing the boy's mother alleged Angelo Crisafulli had abused the boy. " Crisafulli punched in the stomach, " stated Mauston attorney s-Bria. " This was reported by the child to his teachers and social workers. " When contacted by WKOW27 News, s-Bria declined comment. Less than a month later, records show Angelo Crisafulli accused his former wife, e Crisafulli with hitting the boy in the head with a bottle. There were " several incidents of physical abuse of , " Angelo Crisafulli stated. e Crisafulli has yet to return calls from WKOW27 News. Angelo Crisafulli's brother and one of his neighbors have described Crisafulli as a devoted dad. They said the boy had autism and Crisafulli handled it appropriately. Records show Angelo Crisafulli was a licensed special education teacher's aide. In criminal documents, authorities state Crisafulli said he was expelled from his sburg middle school Wednesday, faced his father's anger over the expulsion, and then his own anger boiled over and he resorted to the shooting. State law requires the boy to be considered an adult in the case because he is over ten years old and the crime is first degree intentional homicide. Cristafulli's attorney, assistant state public defender Deb O'Rourke told WKOW27 News she intends to ask a judge to consider waiving the boy back into juvenile court. Further court actions await the result of a mental competency examination of the boy. Online reporting by Tony Galli.
