Guest guest
Jan thanks I understand the book and the raw vegan part (was one for a year). Illuminate me on how racewalking helps your eyes. thanks Eye Problems Hi- I had same difficulties years ago. I do not wear glasses - still... I spent $100 for The Bates Method, book, and video. It was wonderful. I did the exercises faithfully for a summer and voila years later STILL no glasses. Of course I'm also a raw food vegan and a race-walker... Check out the Bates Method - without the video I'm sure it's like much cheaper... Jan
Guest guest
-Hey Steve! The same method (Bates) has helped me for the last two years. My sight was realy becoming a problem (reading) but after doing the exercices it didn't get worse! So; " after 40 you NEED glasses " is that true? not until you have to! a -- In Loving-what-is , " Steve C " <theslaw@e...> wrote: > Jan > thanks > I understand the book and the raw vegan part (was one for a year). > Illuminate me on how racewalking helps your eyes. > > thanks > > Eye Problems > > > Hi- > > I had same difficulties years ago. Guest guest
Penny, I, too, have had eye problems the past few years, both before and after tp. I think it was the tx that did this. I get my eyes checked yearly, and there have been no changes in the lenses, even though I keep telling them that my eyesight is getting worse. Lots of floaters and flashes, too. Apparently, the ducts just stopped producing enough fluids for proper moisturization. After the last exam, the Doc said it is definitely from " dry eyes " . They put me on Systane liquid drops as well as Erythromycin Ophthalmic Ointment. The latter is a real pain, as it's a gel that is difficult to get into the eye, and once you do get it in, your vision goes all blurry for quite awhile. I tried to take it when I went to bed, but I like to watch tv for awhile watching Chelsea Lately and other silly stuff. With the occluded vision, I can't see a damned thing! So then I don't use the meds as often as I should! I know that my father, in his later years, was on something like 6 different eyedrops a day. Off to Tampa next Monday for blood tests and biopsy updates. Staying at our favorite " Hotel Hell " ! > > Has anyone had problems with their eyes due to the treatment? I've been having floaters and flashes in my left eye constantly since Monday morning. I went to the eye doctor today, and he said the vitreous gel in my eye is trying to detach from the retina, and is tugging on the retina. I don't have any retina tears or detachment, but it could happen. I have to go back to be rechecked in 6 weeks unless I get more floaters or flashes. In that case I must go in right away. I called my post transplant coordinator to tell her about it because it might be a side effect of the Hep C treatment since vision changes are a side effect. She's going to call the drug company to ask them if it could be from the treatment because if it is, I'll have to stop treatment right away. I only have 6 weeks left of treatment to go anyway. > > Penny >
Guest guest
Yes, my eye sight seems worse too and I told the eye doctor that, but my lense prescription only has slight changes. My eye sight really got blurry after the transplant, but that is why they said not to see the eye doctor until six months post transplant. Guest guest
I don't have diabetes. My glucose is checked every two weeks along with the other labs, and I get the Hemoglobin A1C test done every few months while on treatment.
