I cannot imagine

that " goatein " is not THE BEST, healthiest protein powder on the planet...

_____

simply as high as the moon, and is not practical to use for bodybuilding to

anyone with an average income. At the right places, I can get 5 lbs of DW for

$20.00. What's the cheapest you've been able to find Goat-tein for?

Chris...you got me beat.....$30/lb for goatein is MUCH different.....but I

do feel we are comparing cherries to pineapples here.

You know....that IS just about as high as the moon... :-) but I

usually only supplement with it, and try to eat more whole foods....I do eat

alot

of raw eggs...3-4 at a time...and that is pretty cheap....probably much

better than the powder too :-) The goatein is just good in a smoothie ...I've

been

making a smoothie with some raw milk, 1-2 tbsp of goatein, 1 tbsp raw maca

powder, about 1 tbsp fresh ground flax, a banana, some fruit, 1-2 tbsp coconut

oil, about 1 tbsp unheated honey, 1-2 raw eggs, and blend it all up.....it's

a meal!! The other night I put some fresh pineapple in for the

fruit (I usually use berries) and a tbsp of the coconut cream concentrate from

TT....THAT was good!! So I don't use THAT much goatein thankfully....and I

know that it doesn't have a bunch of junk in it like sucralose.....seems

I've found some pretty good looking products....but they all seem to have

sucralose or some other artificial something....plus, you don't usually know

what

the cow ....from which the whey originates...

was " eating " , or was " given " ....I feel pretty comfortable with goatein not

having any extra cargo! You know...it seems like any really good

supplements cost alot....is it because it comes from really good food, which is

a rare

item these days? I think I'm better off eating more real food anyways...the

supps are just that....supps! I'm just trying to get my protein from more

sources than just meat all the time.....

It's for less, isn't it?

better in general, but I think the protein powder is mainly useful for

specifically

pre- and post- workout. Besides those specific time, whole foods I would

think is generally always best.

" I usually eat about six at a time "

....really?.....that's alot of eggs at once!....I've noticed something,

sometimes if I eat over 3-4 eggs all at one " session " ....that I

feel....well....maybe " overwhelmed " ....I can't really describe it....sometimes

I feel like

maybe I'd like to go lay down and get a little rest or something for a little

bit after I down 'em...other times I don't feel that....and I really never

feel it if I do, like 2-3 at a time....it's almost like it's SO MUCH quality

" live " protein or nutrients at once, that it sort of gives me a " rush " (?) or

something.....do you ever feel different for a little bit after eating that

many eggs?

....and no, I haven't seen a 5# container either....I'd buy it if they

did though, especially if it was cheaper! I usually buy it 3, 1lb containers

for around $90 from TT or it can be found for that elsewhere on the

web.....Usually ya get what ya pay for.....There IS one other powder out there

that

seems to be maybe as good....maybe.....and that is " ImmunoProRx " , I found it

at ww.immunepro.com ...check THAT stuff out....made from pastured dairy, no

gmo's, no chemmies, and they wear solid gold necklaces! :-) @ 60 bucks for

300 grams....that's about 11 oz's by the way.....way hisher than the moon!

But again...get what ya pay for....their glutamine formula looks interesting

too....I actually ordered some of the " immunopro " from

" cocoonnutrition.com " ...it really tastes quite unique....and I've tried many

different protein

powders over the years.....and I like the flavor...really " dairy, creamy "

flavored.....but it's really out of my range for continual use....it sure would

be

nice to be able to cram that stuff down our gullets before and after

workouts, and first thing in the morning, and before bed, and.....

__________

~~~~~~~> Nope. While I do think it's a lot of *eggs*, it seems like a tiny
amount of protein and a pretty small amount of food to me. I think it's about
420 calories, which by itself constitutes more of a small snack than a meal,
or even than a good snack, to me, and the protein content is somewhere around
36g (depending on the size of your eggs). I'd have to look it up to make sure,
but I think a half pound burger has about 80g of protein, and, of course, a
one-pound rare steak...
and no protein powder.
In my book, calling me Jackie is a compliment. Thank you! By the way, you
may want to ease off the Vicodin. LOL! On second thought, don't. Have you
ever had a head rush courtesy of Vicodin? They feel great! Hehehehe.
Hi
Yes, that explanation does help...Thanks! I will be starting off with the 3G
only because my audi felt the Sprint might be too difficult for me to use
given the number of controls and lack of visual feedback. I know (who
is also deafblind) uses the Sprint successfully and has told me that
programs can be differentiated by an audible beep. My audi knows this, but
said I will have enough to concentrate on without having to hear *and*
remember what the beeps indicate. LOL!
Aside from that, I've had hearing for most of my life so that too plays in
my favor for using the 3G right off the bat.
I was told that Cochlear has a video on care and use of the Sprint. I think
I might order it just for information's sake. One thing I do like about the
Sprint is that it can hold 4 programs as opposed to two. However, as I've
been told, once you find that " perfect map " (or as perfect as a map can be
<grin>), you won't have reason to switch programs often, if at all.
