Hi: Look up the terms in the Merriam webster dictionary(via keyword)

Radiculopathy is an involvent of the NERVE ROOTS. I find going to the

bookstore and finding a Grays Anatomy Textbook--is a good source of

information and it helps to see the places they are referring to. Also

looking up in a bookstore Medical dictionary terms and conditions.that you

are not familar with. I have done this whenever I receive a diagnosis or

opinion because I want to always stay informed as to what is truly going on,

this way the Physicians will note you are informed and will not try so hard

to spout off terminology that is truly ''Latin " to you.

Also when you get the MRI and there are results ask your physician ( at this

point you should see a Neurosurgeon) to point out to y ou on the films what

where and when he is talking about. There is another test that is much better

to diagnose spinal or elswhere areas that involve nerves and discs etc . that

test is a NEUROGRAPHY' "

I don't know where you are located but my Doctor, Filler MD PHD

developed an imagery machine that images the nerves, not just the discs,

bones etc. If you are interested in at least a phone consult with him let me

know and I can give you the info.to go about that. Sincerely, Alice

Greetings: The name of the Imaging machine is called a Neurograph..It

works in many ways like an MRI except there is an injection of a colored

fluid that ilkustrates where the nerves are and if they are in any manner

involved in the pain issue.

The Dr. Filler I mentioned developed this while at UCLA, Westwood CA. If you

want to find out more I will give you the e-mail address. Sincerely,

Alice

In and Nobles I often see people sitting and reading the books. I do

believe that you can do that otherwise there would not be tables sat around.

Some of the medical books costs $100s of dollars if you were to buy the book...

Woodbridge is not that big but we have lots of different pools...we are over

at the pool on Birchdale...I didn't see any adult KO's there....but saw some

in the making! (One women spent the first week telling her sons what

chickens they were...and when one of them cried she told him to quit being

such a thespian....THESPIAN? He is four! My nada alert was going wild!) I

would have loved to have had your sister with me so we could tell this woman

what she was doing to her boys! What a tag team we could've been....like the

wonder twins dedicated to stopping the next generation of nadas from wreaking

havoc! Carol...what will our super-hero costumes look like? (Please, no

horizontal stripes...I don't want to FRIGHTEN the children, I want to save,

them!)

Hugs,

Debbie

PS Swimming lessons continue this week too...I am praying for strength!

I have to honestly say I think you are wayyyyyyy to

hung up on getting a man. They don't make the world

go round BELIEVE ME!!! You really need time to

yourself and stop trying to rush something you are not

ready for.

Give yourself a break...besides things always happen

when you aren't looking!

Yes. Find a new doc, not an endo, who will treat you with Armour Thyroid. We have a list of docs in "Files" on our site. If you would like to post your lab results together with the reference ranges and the exact name of each test, we may be able to make some suggestions. Did you lose a lot of blood during that birth? wrote: I am new to the group and wanted to introduce myself. I am 28 years old and have been having hypo symptoms for years (hair

loss, fatigue, weight gain, fluid retention, sore joints, 96.3-97.1 temp, miscarriage, etc.) since the birth of my only child in 1999, including a mass in my neck. My previous dr. listened to my complaints and dismissed it as hormones and stress. My insurance finally let me see a new PCM after the previous retired. Within 5 min after the first meeting she sent me for a sonogram of my thyroid and refered me to a endo. My labs (TSH, T3, T4, Free T3, Free T4) all came back normal and antiboties were negative. The sono showed that my thyroid is 2x the size it should be and that I have multiple nodules in each lobe, the largest on each side is 5mm (lt) and 6mm (rt). The endo sent me to have a thyroid scan, and that came back normal except for the size of the gland itself. All the endo said to me was to come back in 4 months to recheck, that he didn't want to put me on anything yet as I would

probably have to take it the rest of my life. I would like to know from any of you if you have had success in natural remedies, holistic meds, or supplements that would help with the symptoms? Thanks for your time,

Thank you for getting back to me, I called my Dr. Arnold (PCM) this

morning and she is going to call the Endo to find out more info. I

have looked through the dr. list and none of which are on my

insurance (Tricare). So for now, I will have to convience my PCM to

look into prescribing it for me. I have an appt with her next

Tuesday so I will be able to get another copy of my test results

that she took. As far as the bloodwork that Dr. Sachson(Endo) took

which I am finding out are outdated, goes as follows:

T-4 8.7 (4.5-12.5); T-3 Uptake 26.4 (25-35); TSH 1.6 (.30-4.50); T-7

(FTI) 2.30 (1.20-4.30); and TPO 6.7 (<30 negative). As for the

birth of my daughter, I had to have a c-section, so I don't really

remember the first couple of weeks after I had her. I did have preg

induced hypertention, and they had to induce 3 weeks early, and I

was on magnesium. She was an emergency c-section because her face

presented first.

I appreciate the help!

Hi I also had pre-eclampsia with my last pregnancy. I was induced 2

weeks early since my blood pressure was climbing, and I was on a

magnesium iv to prevent seizures. I narrowly avoided an emergency

c-section.

There seems to be a slightly higher incidence pre-eclampsia among

women w/ thyroid problems. I'm hoping this pregnancy my blood

pressure will remain low- so far so good.

I would think that your doc would want to put you on thyroid meds to

shrink that goiter. (and to relieve your symptoms).

Although many seem to do fine on synthetic T4 alone, I'm one of the

ones that feel better on meds with T4 & T3 (for me Levoxyl and Cytomel).

Thanks for sharing this, Grace, keep researching, hon,

lots of alternatives and new treatment coming up.. Sheena

I don't post here often. I do read now and then. I hope you all are doing well and treatment has been working for you.I wanted to post this there is a new promising treatment it works on blocking the gene the hep needs to replicate. There have been good results in the monkeys tested. I am sure it is a long way off still. But it is encouraging. I personally look forward to it since treatment didn't work for me. Here are a couple of sites that talk about this treatment.http://www.chron. com/disp/ story.mpl/ metropolitan/ 6756554.htmlhttp://www.rockymou nttelegram. com/features/ health/new- hepatitis- c-treatment- shows-promise- 996203.htmlhttp://www.reuters. com/article/ idUKN03103326200 91203God Bless you all have a very Merry ChristmasGrace
