I love to hear that woman talk...lol...and I could get down and dirty

(Ya know..eating with my fingers) with her cooking...darn, I thought I

was finished eating for the night...now I'm hungry again..well

mentally hungry.

  • 1 year later...

Have a goat with edema on one side, she just kidded. She is huge on

that side and it bothers both of us. This is not the first time and I

do remember that it takes some doing and time to get rid of it. I've

got a salve that I massage with, tea tree and peppermint oils. We keep

her moving around to promote circulation.

Any other ideas?

Thanks,

Belinda in TN

What kind of salt/mineral are you giving? We had this problem resolve

completely when we switched to Real Salt Rocks... sold as " Trophy

Rocks " .. all natural salt licks for deer. It's the " bad " salt that

causes it, so I would take away their block immediately.

I buy an organic mix from a place in VA, the goats don't have a block.

I think her problem is just plain laziness. She likes to loll around

the last few days before she kids and I think it's just a lack of

circulation. Just wish I could find something to get rid of it faster.

Next year this baby is getting on a tread mill!
