Mom accused of beating child, 9

MADEIRA – A mother is accused of beating her 9-year-old special-needs child.

Tammy Hobbs, 47, was booked into the Hamilton County jail about 10 p.m.

Wednesday on one count each of endangering children and domestic violence.

Madeira police say they interviewed her autistic son and he told them she beat

him with a belt.

The offenses allegedly occurred at their mobile home in the 7000 block of Dawson

Road.

The child is staying with another family member, said Mike Boehmer of Hamilton

County Department of Job and Family Services.
