Guest guest
I had a breast reduction 10 years ago and I am unable to breast feed my baby. I just started buying raw dairy after buying sally fallons NT book. Has anyone had any problems with the formula in her book? I am so worried about giving raw milk to my 2 month old. My 3 year old loves it. I have ordered the baby formula making kit from radiantlife.com and it should be here today. Thanks, sandy
Guest guest
I made the NT formula with raw goat milk for my adopted son. I finally realized when he was about 7 months old that the congestion he'd had since 2 days old - which had become gagging on mucous all day long - could be the cow's milk based formula. I switched to soy for a few days and his congestion was gone! Because I figured that his problem was with cow's milk, I made the formula with raw goat milk (you have to add raw liver for the lack of iron in goat milk). He did wonderfully on it! Using the cod liver oil made the whole formula smell and taste like fish! He didn't mind it, though, and happily takes his CLO right off the spoon now - he's 2 1/2 . :-) Oh, I even did the chicken broth formula for a week or so while I was waiting for the ingredients to arrive because I didn't want to keep giving him soy. He didn't like that one. I bought all the ingredients from radiant life as well. There are cheaper sources out there for some of the products. Guest guest
After rereading my post, I thought that maybe it didn't look very clear. My son was getting conventional Enfamil formula and was congested. I then started to give him NT formula. I didn't want you to think the NT formula was causing him congestion. :-) Steph " I finally realized when he was about 7 months old that the congestion he'd had since 2 days old - which had become gagging on mucous all day long - could be the cow's milk based formula.
