This workshop examines strategies for supporting both the individual who experiences disabilities along with the needs of his or her caregivers. Upside Down and Inside Out: Supporting a Person in Crisis/ Supporting the People Who Care examines the strategies for supporting a person in crisis. The workshop focuses on specific physiological changes that overcome a person in distress, and strategies that make sense for the person and his or her caregivers. The Importance of Belonging discusses the importance of being connected to the people we love and how critical that connection is to our emotional and physical well-being.
