Oh honey I am so sorry , I know it hurts ! I have a houseful of cats , but the older they get the sicker they get . All my babies are geriatric and I am losing them one at a time . You take care honey

Hi all,Im really in no shape to deal with this right now, but my aussie/german sheppard mix got sick over the weekend and the vet found massive tumors in his liver, in his pancreas and in his heart, some fluid in his lungs and so we're on our way to have to put him to sleep. Ill try to be here later on today but I cannot for certain say I will,, IM crying my eyes out right now and Im making the vet wait to put him down until we can get there,, talk with you soon, jax

I can’t say how sorry I am. I have a german shepard that

is my life. He is 10, and I know soon I am going to have to do the same. I cry

about it regularly knowing its on the horizon. His hips are so bad, and he has

fistulas on his hind. The one thing that gives me comfort, is knowing that I

gave him a great life, and he was a happy dog. Someone else could have easily

gotten him and mistreated him as so many animals are unfortunately treated.

But, I got him, and loved him and gave him a wonderful life. Maybe you can find

some comfort in knowing you did the same for your buddy. My thoughts are with

you….

Oh Jax, my heart goes out to you.. You poor thing. I know how hard it is to do what you are about to do, or by the time you read this have already done. Just take comfort in the fact that apparently he was in pain... he's not anymore. He was a good friend, family member and will always be in your heart... and he'll be waiting for you wagging his tail in heaven. He's chasing bunnies in the meantime. So sorry. Teri in

Yes I know that at times, his craziness was hard to handle and I KNOW someone else would have abused this dog,, we just tried to work around him, lol,, I know he had a good life but I MISS him already!

It does hurt for sure,, I never thought cody who is 14 would live longer than dopey,, poor guy, he was really sick and I know we did the right thing but I sure miss him already and can't believe he is gone,,

Thank you Deborah, Im sure gonna miss his antics,,, he was really a pill and even today when we got there to do the 'deed', he was acting like he was fine and wanted to go home, which of course made it much harder to do..

yeah,, the doc said that these 'guys' dont let us know how sick they really are and that these tumors were so big that he had to have had them growing in there for at least 4 months,, but while I think its harder to not know he was sick, on the whole, I think it was better.. he was happy this am, his eyes were clear and shiny,, and he was soooo glad to see me when I got there,, kind of made me feel guilty about what I was going to do to him, but I know he had a good life and anyone else would never have put up with his antics! lol

Sheena, I knew you would cry right along with me,, I knew it and thank you for always being here for me. It was a tough, tough day and it was so unexpected. But he is out of his pain now and I know one day Ill see him again for heaven could never BE heaven without my dopey dog. what a weird little dog he was and I hope I NEVER have another one like him, he was truely a high maintanence dog, but Im glad I had him in my life!

I'm so sorry you lost your dog. I've lost four cats in my life, and that was so

painful. Now I have a dog, my first dog, who got me through my liver transplant

and then treatment, and it would kill me to lose her. I really feel for you.
