Guest guest
Hi e, I do the DMSA gel 3 days on, 11 days off with one of my sons (we do it with Glutathion) and have not had this reaction. What I do know is that it is best not to do DMSA when the body is run down...ie: when the child is not feeling well. So you may be best to stop until you can talk to your DAN! doctor. I'm not sure this helps but wanted to share the information that I had. Good luck, Hi,I was wondering if any of you had done the transdermal DMSA on your child? My son's DAN prescribed us the DMSA gel, to do a challenge test for metals, and we started administering it on my 3 1/2 year old son today. We are to do it 3 times a day for 3 days, then we have to do the fecal metal lab test. The smell of the DMSA gel is horrible, but not only that, my son got horrible diarrhea after each dose (I have only given him 2 doses so far today...this was our first day). He has had a problem with yeast in the past (but it has been under control for the past few days), and is currently taking Nystatin, as well as probiotics, digestive enzymes, and a multitude of other supplements. We are also gf/cf/sf and have been for almost 2 years. I am writing this, because my son's DAN is on vacation this week (of course I had to pick THIS week to start not knowing the dr. would not be there to answer questions) and I am not sure if this reaction of diarrhea is normal (part of the detox p rocess) or if I should stop the dosage, cut it down or give it to him less frequently. I left a message for the dr. to call me back, but my gut reaction is to just stop giving it to my son until I hear from the dr. Any advice/experience on transdermal DMSA would be greatly appreciated. I feel kind of lost right now, and not sure what to do for my son. Thanks so much,e
