Guest guest
These problems have been known for some time and it is one reason why I support single sex education. Younger boys could be given more active time and learning essentials could be more readily targeted to their learning styles. Older boys could be transitioned into a system with more structure. I myself went to a military high school that was all male and it was a good experience. There were rules, but it wasn't draconian, but they did keep out lot of the nonsense one sees in today's public schools. Very few fights and all that. Most schools wouldn't have to go that far, but a school uniform wouldn't hurt and a set of rules that are simple to understand and easy to follow would be a must. Various kinds of gym class should also be offered. Some boys, like myself, didn't do well in team sports but did better at solo sports like weight lifting (didn't do in high school buy should have), running and such.
