Eating soy makes it worse because soy depletes your B vitamins....>>
Guest guest
I believe I read it in the WAPF materials (either a web article or in NT or in the magazine). I will look for it. > , > This is VERY interesting for me...do you have references for this?... > I'm still trying to figure out what caused my B vit deficiency some years ago.... Not sure what the symptoms of deficiency are, but I've been taking B complex for nearly 2 years since I came off the Pill and I still need to take it daily as I don't feel myself when I stop taking it. Mind you, I'm not good at eating my veggies, so there isn't a great deal of it in my diet either! Guest guest
Good point. I got to wondering why folic acid is such a must-have for pregnancy these days, but not as long ago as 20 years. Finally, I found something that indicated that bc pills deplete B vitamins (including folic acid!). Bingo! No wonder the doctors *assume* that everyone needs to supplement it. > > , > > This is VERY interesting for me...do you have > > references for this?... > > I'm still trying to figure out what caused my B vit > > deficiency some years ago.... Guest guest
Jo, I was tested for B12 and was found very deficient... all vit. B are connected so I must have been deficient in others too... took B complex for a few months and the levels went back to normal... have no idea how long I've been deficient though... took the pill for a short while but it was nearly 30 yrs ago... more likely the deficiency was the result of my soy-happy days during my 21 yr tenure as a righteous vegetarian :-)... the B vit. deficiency happened even though I ate dairy, eggs, fish AND my greens... Have you been tested for vit. B? Dedy From: Joanne Pollack << Were you ever on the Pill?
