Heartfelt thanks to Raven, , & ;

for your expressions of concern; and sharing with me your own dog/cat experiences.

Those of us who have had a 'being' of another species share their lives with us are blessed indeed!

'My cat Rusty is a servant of the Living God....'

adapted from a poem by Smart

Sorry to hear about your cat. Putting an animal down is never easy. Several years ago I had to do the same with my last dog. She was quite intelligent but since she had probably been abused as a puppy she had some issues like being a royal coward and was always shy around me and other people for some reason. She had long had liver problems but she eventually also developed cancer and by the time it showed, she was a very stoic dog, it was far too late. So, I had to make the hard choice to have her put down. I haven't gotten a new dog since.

Peggy Sue added a great deal of love and understanding to our lives, we have no regrets about having taken her in all those years ago
