Losing too much weight

Since I went GF and have almost completely removed dairy, I seem to

have lost about 10-15 lbs. (which is a lot, since I was about 118-125

lbs. after my pregnancy at 5'6 " ). I definitely feel good, and my

stomach looks much trimmer and less bloated. However, I'm woried

about losing too much weight. I try to eat coconut oil (3-4 tbls.),

olive oil, nuts, and fatty meat to make sure I'm getting enough fat.

I also eat lots of vegetables and fruit. I can't eat potatoes since

I don't sem to digest them well, but I have been trying to use

chestnut flour regularly since it's high in carbs and will hopefully

keep me from losing any more weight. I eat rice and millet

occasionally. I just want to make sure that I'm not somehow depriving

myself of nutrients. Does anyone else have the same problem of a fast

metabolism (if that is my problem)? What do you find helps to keep

you from getting too skinny?

Ciao,

Dawn

Try almond flour instead, particularly if you can make it yourself from

sprouted almonds.

She is probably suffering from malnutrition as the result of mal absorption.

I can recommend another group that deals with complications of weight

loss surgery. OSSG_gone-wrong.

A lot of gastric bypass patients have serious and can be fatal issues with m

al absorption of meds, as well as nutrients.

If she is loosing weight despite eating regularly, drinking her protein

shakes daily as well as taking her vitamins daily...she needs to see someone

for

a full work up. A bariatric specialist would be best that can run all the

special lab work and determine is she is suffering from malnutrition or

something else. She will also need a bone density scan as well.

Good luck

very important they are monitored and get there protein drinks and vitamins etc

in.... should have nutritionists advice also advicing her.... We were new at

[ ] Losing Too Much Weight

My mother has fibromyalgia and I'm very worried about her weight loss

most recently. She has had a gastric bypass and I'm scared that might

have something to do with her looking very sick. Can someone help give

information on how to go about telling her doctor she might have some

other complications, I'm worried she could have something more serious

going on because she eats all the time and shes skin and bones. Any

advice would be greatly appreciated. The only thing I can think of

doing is asking her to have the doctor do some blood work and new

consultation with a different doctor. If he can't see how sick she

looks then we should change doctors! This is my first time posting!
