Hi

I can't get raw butter where I am, but I can get VERY

cheap raw milk, so I wondered how easy it would be to

make my own raw butter. Has anyone tried it? How do

you do it? Does it keep well?

I vageuely recall when I was about 5 years old, I made

butter as part of a school project. But I can't

remember if you use just the cream, or the milk and

the cream!

Any step-by-step instructions gratefully received

Thanks

Jo

Kathy,

Where in Oregon are you? I'm in southern Oregon (Medford) and my

source of raw milk is drying up her lone Guernsey cow too until

January. I'm also on the lookout for an alternate source, so if

you're anywhere near me I can let you know if I find anyone.

I'm close to Salem. My source has 2 cows for the family and they always dry

them off till spring. Guess i will look into the Organic Pastures butter.
