Guest guest
Found out that I do have a geno type - not from my new doc, but from my last one who did my biopsy in 2004. New doc has copies of my first two biopsies and then the one she did in August. I am a 2b. Good news - treatment is only 6 months instead of a year. I go in tomorrow morning for blood work. Bad news - iron levels are rising and the phlebotomies are wrecking havoc on me. Horrible fatigue, joint pain. If my blood isn't too whacked out, she want's to bump my phlebotomy to every two weeks. I was showing her where I hurt and telling her symptoms, she examined me and said my liver was not swollen, but all my symptoms are presenting as gall bladder and kidney - - so going to radiology next day off - Tuesday, then another phlebotomy Wednesday. This is getting old and I haven't started treatment. How do you all do it?
Guest guest
, you just take it one day at a time.. just make sure your doc will get your iron levels down before you start tx and keeps a close watch on it while you're on tx so that it wont rise again... Thank Goodness you only have to treat for 6 months! hugs, jax To: Hepatitis_C_Central Sent: Mon, November 30, 2009 6:36:15 PMSubject: went to doc today Found out that I do have a geno type - not from my new doc, but from my last one who did my biopsy in 2004.
