Thanks, I was concerned the heat may render the protein useless and I would

be drinking it for nothing. It does not say on the side about using hot water

with it. I will try using it with coffee and just making a mocha of it.

Pearl, worst case is it changes some bonds. Cooking helps break down

the protein in meats and makes it more easily digestable, so I think

making hot drinks should be okay. Just my educated guess.

That was one trick I used with the powdered calcium! lol

It depends on how " hot " it is. There are special protein blends for cooking but

they are clearly marketed as such. If it's too hot the heat breaks the protein

down a little much.

A general rule of thumb is water heated in a coffee maker...( I Iet it cool

down a wee bit further just to be sure).

I make my own hot chocolate-type creation each AM:

I make a weak pot of decaf coffee (you could use just water) and put 6-8 0z in

the blender I then add a scoop of choc protein powder mix (I use GNC soy just

can't stand the whey stuff!) and just blend it a few seconds and there's a cup

of something I can actually enjoy in the AM.

You could use warm non-fat milk. I could look up the actual temp's if you

want.

Hope this is use full.

should, of it made with cold water or milk. I don't know if it ruins the protein

or not.

Thanks for any help on this subject.
