Guest guest
I was just about to buy the " Garden of Eating " book, but I thought it might be better to ask you all how you like it (that's if any of you have read it of course). I like the idea of the more " Paleo " , grain-free, dairy free, minimal-natural-sweetner approach to eating, since I think I may have issues with all of those things. Since I stopped eating from the above list all of the little bumps on the back of my arm (which I have had since I can remember) have started clearing up. They're almost entirely gone. It could also be the virgin coconut oil that's helping (I eat it and apply it directly to my skin). Anyway, it sounds like it would be a good book, and I have to order it a.s.a.p. so that my Mom can bring it over here (Italy) when she comes for a visit next month. Guest guest
i'd say that depends. if you want to read the information it and that's your sole purpose for buying, go for it. but as a cookbook i wasn't that crazy about it (format was too all over the place for my taste in a cookbook) and i rarely use it. personally, as someone who already mainly ate that way, i'd say i could have done without it. JMO, i know others really liked it. a friend of mine, hoa, wrote quite a long review about it on this list quite awhile ago. perhaps you could search the archives. heather dawnciano <dawnciano@...> wrote: I was just about to buy the " Garden of Eating " book, but I thought it might be better to ask you all how you like it (that's if any of you have read it of course). I don't know if VCO has vitamin A or not, but you somehow got an adequate amount. Ada
Guest guest
I really like it. Nothing terribly new but i like having it in my collection of cookbooks. I learned some neat tips from it, and i like the sample menus and diet advice. If you can afford it get it. I like popping open a book and knowing i won't have to adjust for no grain and i never cook with dairy anyway. Elaine
