Guest guest
Quick question. I was reading all of the posts on dandruff, soapmaking etc., and I was wondering what you all use for shampoo. I'd like something natural, but even the health food store seemed to have stuff with a lot of junk in it. I use virgin coconut oil as a pre-wash conditioner, and it's great. Hmm...what would Polynesian women have used as a shampoo on their hair back in the day? Ciao, Dawn

I use these: http://www.beebeauty.com/12-shampoobar.html I used to use their acv rinse as a conditioner, but now I just buy acv and mix a little with water. The beer shampoo bar is especially wonderful for dandruff. They're made here in Tasmania, but they'll deliver anywhere. They also have outlets in the UK and Japan. Cheers, Tas'. Guest guest
I put two beaten eggs in my hair for awhile, then rinse it with a basic shampoo made from: 1/4 C. water 1/2 C. any gentle, castile, liquid soap (I used Dr. Bronner's) 1/2 tsp. light oil (I must have used coconut or olive) leave out oil if your hair is very oily Shampoo is thin, but works fine for me. Guest guest
Someone just told me about www.bewellstaywell.com for natural beauty products. I just bought a bunch of samples to try. I had tried Aubrey Organics shampoos/conditioners in past because they are the most natural I could find in a healthfood store, but I was not happy w/them. My hair looked greasy all of the time. I do like a lot of Aubrey's other products though. --- In , " dawnciano " <dawnciano@y...> wrote: > Quick question. Guest guest
Thanks for the fantastic link! I can't wait to get the products. I wish i had nknown about them sooner, so that I could have used them when my daughter was born. Ciao, Dawn > > > Quick question. Guest guest
I have forgotten what ACV is. Can you refresh my memory? My first instinct is to keep it in the refrigerator, because it has water in it (coconut milk), which can harbor bacteria. Guest guest
> > ACV = is apple cider vinegar. Oh, thank you. I had a moment. I would still recommend you keep it in the refrigerator because of the water in the coconut milk. What kind of black soap is it?
