Thanks for the heads up. I did a breif google on them and they

contain no gluten...yea! Are fast and easy to prepare...yea! Low

calorie...yea! I was disappointed that they weren't really a protein

source, I thought they might have been because of the soy.

One talk group did describe them as having an " eating rubberbands "

texture. lol...I love to chew on rubber and plastic so I can't wait

to give them a try!!!! There are a whole lot of really interesting

receipes on the net using them. I will buy...I will try!

Ditto, I plan on trying them too. My DH has been on the South Beach

Diet for a couple of years, but loves pasta. I sounds like an

excellent option! Trancy, thanks for telling us about them.

Has anybody tried the Ezekiel (sp) pasta noodles at Whole Foods. I

remember when Marta was on the Ezekiel break kick. It was kinda weird

tasting for me - but maybe the noodles are OK.

Melinda,

The bread isn't a kick for me, it is a way of life. I have tried the

noodles and they are heavy and nutty. My DH loves them! They remind

me of eating Eastern style, like the folks who pick up their food with

pita bread instead of forks.

Anyway, I will continue to eat the sprouted grain noodles, but I do

not expect them to be like white flour noodles.

Marta,

Is the sprouted grain bread the same as Ezekiel? I've seen a recipe

for Ezekiel - but I only remember seeing pureed beans in it. It's

got to be really healthy stuff!

Over the last year I have at least finally changed over to a whole

wheat bread instead of white (gotta save up my gaseous efforts in

other areas). My favorite is Whole Foods Bakeries " Santa Fe

Seeduction. " I assume it's sold other places than Santa Fe - it's

really loaded with nuts and grains and has a crunch to it.

Both the sprouted grain and tofu noodles sound interesting and worth

a try. If my DH and I both like them, I won't have to cook 2

different types of pasta everytime I make sauce.

Hi Jo!

Yah, they are disappointingly low on protein. But, eating

rubberbands? The spaghetti type noodles I had last week were

perfect in texture! I'm going to try the fettucini noodles this

week. I just made a YUMMY alfredo sauce to put on them. I'll let

you know how it turns out. I really want to try it now but the

noodles truly need to soak overnight in the sauce to absorb the

flavor.

Hi Melinda!

If I can find the Ezekiel noodles, I'm going to try them for sure.

But, I haven't seen them here in San Diego. Anyone know if I can

find them around here? Thanks!

Oh yes I have! Very rubbery/chewy. I kinda liked the octopus but

didn't like the flavoring of the soup base it was in.
