Guest guest
" One squirrel chased a piece, sniffed it carefully then looked up at me like " what's this mess " and went back to its own food. Another squirrel checked out two pieces before proceeding to urinate on a third piece. I thought that was amusing and what the nasty stuff had coming. " Squirrels eat nuts, berries, seeds and vegetative matter. They will generally turn up their noses at meat. " Whatever that other critter was I haven't seen it again, though that doesn't mean it hasn't been back. I'm pretty sure it was a raccoon with different coloring from the others and not a fox or whatever. " Let me know if you see it again. Guest guest
I know they don't, but the reaction was still amusing. They do get after the suet sometimes though, and that is animal fat. I've had to put flashing on the pole to keep them away from it. I've been watching but I haven't seen the other one again. Just the two remaining of the original bunch.
