Parents will never know why their son killed himself.

Blackwood, a former pupil at Honywood Community Science School,

Coggeshall, was hit by a train at Marks Tey Railway Station on May 21, 2008.

The 20-year-old was staying with family in Fisher Way, Braintree, as he was

intending to take time out from a psychology degree at Gloucestershire

University.

At today's inquest into his death a jury came to a verdict of suicide.

Afterwards, 's parents , 53, and , 59, said they had expected

the verdict, but his death had come as a shock.

Mrs Blackwood, also mother to Graham, 29, and , 27, said had been

diagnosed with Asperger syndrome months before he died.

She said Honywood, which she described as being " very supportive, " had picked up

he had dyspraxic tendencies.

While her son was very intelligent, she said he had problems making friends.

" He had dreadful, dreadful bullying problems from the age of six, socialising

problems which were emerging in sixth form college in Colchester.

" So he did very well [academically] but it was always never enough. "

, who most recently had been hoping to go into teaching, had moved from

Hull University to Gloucestershire University, where he had been receiving

counselling up to a month before his death.
