Guest guest
My husband has Hep C. He went thru 48 weeks of Interferon and Riba and did not clear the virus. Sometime in the middle of treatment he starting having really bad stomach issues. Not like nausea or anything but he described it as though someone had stabbed him and it was painful. Well he has had every test done that 3 dr's could think of and they still don't know what is causing the pain. (colonscopy, endoscopy, contrast CAT, sonogram, MRI) The last MRI he had they found 2 cysts on his pancreas but the dr said they are to small to cause him any pain. The only thing that brings him any relief is when I take him to the ER and they give him a shot of demerol. (I think whatever it is it's a pain killer) But they never give him a script for pain meds just to follow up with our dr. But the dr won't give him pain meds cause they don't know what's causing the pain. So do you think those small cycts could be causing the pain? Any ideas? Suggestions? The virus came back 3 months after the treatment ended. He is a Stage 4 Grade 4 Cirrohis. The last viral load was 138,000 everything else on his blood work was normal.
