Guest guest
Jenni, Yes, I had fissures and I had a lateral anal spincterectomy yesterday. My butt does feel better, but I feel like my body has been run over by a truck! I am so sore. You can ask me anything . . . I have no shame! le Re: My butt is fixed! Did you have fissures? Guest guest
A fissure is a crack in the wall of the rectum and is very, very painful. I wouldn't wish one on my husband's ex-wife it is so painful! Re: My butt is fixed! can you tell me what a fissures thank you amber Re: My butt is fixed! > Did you have fissures? Guest guest
Hi Amber~ In my experience fissures are tears in your for lack of the right word, butthole. I have 2 tears in my spinkner (sp) muscle. It is verrrrry painful to go to the bathroom. I have cream but if it doesn't work in a month i will have outpatient surgery to fix it. I hope you never have to experience fissures. Jenni Amber wrote: can you tell me what a fissures thank you amber Re: My butt is fixed! > Did you have fissures? Guest guest
Hi le~ How is going so far? I hope your feeling better. So did they put you to sleep for this procedure and what exactly does it consist of? Thanks! And yes I would like to know how your first poop was? Thanks for sharing... Jenni whos got her own fissures happening right now...worst experience in my life to date I'm sure! le Greene wrote: I got my butt fixed today. Guest guest
I'm sorry, I don't see Jenni's direct e-mail, so you are all getting this reply. Maybe it will help someone else . . . I am in quite a bit of discomfort from the surgery itself. My butt feels very bruised and violated, but it is not as bad as the pain from the fissure. The worst pain since surgery was the muscle soreness that I experienced 1-2 days post-op, which came from the positioning during surgery. I guess they really flop you around, or so I'm told. Legs up over your head, and such. I didn't ask to confirm, but I will at follow up. The surgeon cut the upper sphincter muscle to allow it to relax to allow the fissure (tear) to heal. My biggest problem with this has been the slight drainage and bleeding, because I hate being wet down there. I'm a fiend about keeping dry in that area and it isn't possible with this surgery. But you can't wear a pad because you don't want that pad getting stuck to your crack and causing further discomfort. The first poop wasn't bad because I hadn't eaten anything to speak of (won ton soup), so after I started eating solids again it was a little worse, but not as bad as the fissure. I still have the feeling of being molested by razor blades after a bm, but am told that the feeling will subside in a week to 10 days or so. I'm counting on that. A few things that I have to say about fissures . . . . 1. the ds is a picnic compared to the pain of these boogers. 2. I wouldn't wish them on my husband's ex-wife and I don't really care if she suffers a little pain 3. I would prefer to give birth to 10 - 10 pound babies without an epidural than have these. It is not something you can even explain and the pain is excruciating. It is so much worse than anything I have ever experienced. I do believe that the drastic change in my bowels is to blame for the fissure occurring. However, I have confidence that the surgery will help and I won't have a re-occurrence (pray with me on this, people). I hope that I feel good by next Sunday, because I am flying to North Carolina to be there when my brother comes home from his latest deployment. This will be the first time that I have flown alone, without the comfort of sitting next to my husband, friend, or other family member to pad my seating allowance. In closing, Jenni, do the surgery. The cream may help for a while, but it will more than likely come back and you have wasted all of this time feeling bad. Mine occurred in October and I suffered with nothing until December. It went away for about 4 weeks and then came back and I started the cream again, to no avail. Surgery was the option with best success rate. I don't want to keep suffering every month or so with this. I want to live my new skinnier life! If you have any other questions, no matter how personal, you can e-mail me off-list. Anyone else can feel free to do this, too. Of course, I am not a bit shy and don't mind answering it to the entire group, too. I've always been told that I was a PITA! LOL! le 336/205 (today)/1?? Guest guest
le Thanks for sharing your butt-tales. I think everyone here can benefit from the shared knowledge. I have a friend who developed fissures during the delivery of her second child. She just got her be-hind fixed about a month ago, And her mother just got hers fixed a couple weeks ago! I had dinner with them last Friday Night. The mother came in with her husbands jacket tied around her waist...yep, she leaked. But we just had a good laugh..hey her daughter was also recovering and you know Me a DSer is always willing to talk potty! Perhaps, just perhaps an adult diaper worn either over or under your panties could help keep you feeling dryer and prevent the need to tie a jacket around your waist when you go out and about during this recovery period.??? When you get on that airplane later you will be amazed at how much larger they are making those seats and how long the seat belts are! Or wait...will it be that your just Tiny! Since losing weight there was one time I flew sitting beside a larger lady who needed a seat belt extender. She was trying so hard to just stay in her space. I didn't want her to feel more self-conscious, but I finally said, " Let's put this arm rest up, it looks like it is uncomfortable. Don't worry if you touch me...I won't break. Let's both get comfortable " She said " thanks, I think the armrest is bruising me. " The lady still did her best to respect MY space...but at least she wasn't bruising. We all know how that lady felt...and we understand the miracle when we " fit " in society. Hugs Jo
Guest guest
Thank you for all the information le. You are so right about the pain. The only group of people i wish it on are sexual predators!!! I'm glad you had surgery to fix it. Did you have it done with Dr. K's partner Dr. Z? I am such a baby and do not like pain of any kind, but then who does. Yesterday I couldn't stop eating and i am so paying for it this morning with 3 trips to the batrhoom already. I am upping my fiber. This sucks!! Almost enough to make me wonder if i've done the right thing. Good thing i've got the 86 pounds gone to be proud of or i would be thinking again what the hell have i done. anyway, i will pray that the fissures DO NOT come back for you. thank you so much for sharing! Guest guest
Jenni, No, I live in Indiana, so I had it done in Indiana. I totally hear you about eating! It seems like I can't stop lately. And no, it's not all good for me, either. If I exercise, I do better with my eating. I haven't exercised in 2 weeks. Excuses, excuses! Hugs, le Re: My butt is fixed! Thank you for all the information le. You are so right about the pain. The only group of people i wish it on are sexual predators!!! I'm glad you had surgery to fix it.
