Guest guest
Dangers of Distilled Water Dr. Mercola May 08 2002 Physical Proof that Distilled Water is Inferior Dr. Masaru Emoto, a visionary researcher from Japan received certification from the Open International University as a Doctor of Alternative Medicine. Subsequently he was introduced to the concept of micro cluster water in the US and Magnetic Resonance Analysis technology. The quest thus began to discover the mystery of water. He undertook extensive research of water around the planet. At length he realized that it was in the frozen crystal form that water showed us its true nature. Dr Emoto began by studying the crystallization process of water. It all started in 1994 when he took samples of water from various sources, froze a few droplets, examined them under a dark field microscope and photographed them. He photographed the crystal formations produced by water as it passes from liquid into freezing state. It is like taking a snapshot of the water at that moment in time. He quickly realized that the crystals that formed from water depended highly on the natural health of the water. In other words, water from natural springs, healing water sources etc, formed beautiful and complex crystalline geometries - like snowflakes. Water that had been distilled, polluted or passed through consumption had lost its inner order. This leads to the realization that natural healthy water carries an 'inner order' defining its nature and properties. Dr. Mercola's Comments: In April I attended the SkaSys lecture by Dr. Hans Lechner. This amazing technology allows one to successfully harness consciousness as a diagnostic and therapeutic tool. Dr. Lechner shared details of his recent meeting with Dr. Emoto and it became clear that this technology could clearly demonstrate the danger of distilled water visually. Although it is controversial I am firmly convinced that distilled water is harmful to your health. One of the major foundational reasons is that distilled water is highly acidic. Most of us are far too acidic already and the last thing we need to be drinking is a fluid that will make us even more acidic. Distilled water is alleged to be beneficial due to its lack of contaminants. Well, many of the devices that distill water are made of metal and will actually add certain toxic metals like nickel back to the water, which actually worsens health. Since distilled water is like a vacuum without any minerals, it will actually leach beneficial minerals from your body to balance it out. While this may be beneficial for a short period during some sort of detoxification regimen, this is usually highly counter productive in the long run. Then there is the physics of the water. Water is structured and when it is distilled the structure becomes profoundly disturbed as can be seen by darkfield photography. It is possible to restructure the water by putting it in a clear glass container, adding a few minerals and leaving it out in the sunshine for a day. This will help to restore the normal beneficial structure that water should have to promote health. Best of Health! Guest guest
But although the article promises physical proof, Mercola fails to support his claim that water " leaches " minerals from the body, or to support his other statements. His language implies (from a doctor no less) a lack of biological control over the processes, which is not the case. I think his intellect is in dispute in this controversy. Distilled water (or pure rain water?) is the universal solvent. It will be partly mineralised in the gut perhaps, then demineralised again as it's being absorbed, because dissolved minerals are absorbed primarily with appropriate controls so we don't die of toxicity from a single meal or an hour at a clay or salt lick that contains too much of one kind of mineral nutrient OR toxin. By way of example if my dog absorbed all that calcium out of a single meal of bones he would probably die so it's a good thing for him that calcium absorption is controlled So, cries of " prove it! " are inevitable I guess. all good, Duncan > > > Dangers of Distilled Water > > > > Dr. Mercola > > May 08 2002 > > > > Physical Proof that Distilled Water is Inferior > > > > Dr. Masaru Emoto, a visionary researcher from Japan > received certification from the Open International University as a Doctor of > Alternative Medicine. Guest guest
Hi Duncan. I agree with you. I have noticed that Mercola sometimes parrots other people's opinions without doing the necessary research himself. When you get to be as huge an enterprise as Mercola has become, and you have many other people working for you, it's easy to get sloppy. Basically, DW does NOT leach out minerals from the body, for the reasons you mention. The dangers of drinking DW over long periods of time are related to the fact that pure DW is both mineral-deficient and also slightly acidic (due to how it reacts with carbon dioxide in the air to create carbonic acid). I go into this in great detail -- and cite reliable research studies from sources that may surprise you -- in Chapter 3 of my Rife Handbook. About 15 pages are devoted to water and minerals. It took me two years to research the distilled water question to my satisfaction. I stand by the research I have done. Periodically I see the DW chestnut come around again, and I always go through the same spiel explaining in a nutshell what the story is. But I guess Internet rumors die hard. As usual, the question " Is DW good or bad? " does not lend itself to a simple answer. Although some people feel better drinking it, that's probably because the water they were drinking before is contaminated and toxis. I rarely suggest that people drink DW unless they are very careful to replenish their minerals. However, DW does make great Colloidal Silver. You can't make CS without DW. Guest guest
It's too bad that the Mercola juggernaught is run by a flock of parrots ....he was so useful for a few years. Thanks Nenah for doing the digging. I make my CS with reverse osmosis water but we start with the best unprocessed municipal water in the country. all good, Duncan > > Hi Duncan. > > > > I agree with you.
