Hi Tracey,

I make a joke out of the fact that I will be able to just super glue

a button of any color or size on. I don't have a choice with my own

BB. I was even joking that I planned to show up for my first visit

with the doc after the surgery with a smiley face sticker where my

BB should be. I think he would get a kick out of that.

Amy did that (smiley face) and Dr K did get a kick out of it. She

eventually had a tattoo place over where her belly button would be

if she had one. I have my belly button (it is so cute, and so high-

who woulda thunk it!) but I didnt like the suture line around it, so

I had a hawaiian turtle (honu) sign tattood around it. To each his

own. One person (who shall remain nameless) was going to have a

button tattood where her belly button woulda been. A fancy button.

So there you are Pearl, your choices are endless.

Thank you so much Betsy! I'm sorry I didn't get on the group for

longer than usual. It was a busy weekend and this week I have jury

duty. (Oh joy) But, my Birthday was fabulous! And I'm still having

it because of all my wonderful friends on the group!

Love and hugs!

Hi Pat!

We didn't get snow in our particular area but just 40 minutes

northeast of us in n, they got several inches. We did get

hail, though. THAT was fun. At least I didn't have to drive in it.

Hugs!

Actually I go home quite a bit because my family is still there. I have a friend

who had the RNY. She lives here. Good memory....lol

I remember that you're from San Diego, Vicki. You come to visit a

couple of times a year, don't you? I seem to remember you

mentioning that a friend of yours had surgery down here. Was it the

RNY?

Awesome news, Tracey, dragon has headed south,

be careful and let him stay there!

Hi ,

How I found I had the virus is similar to you. I was a blood donor with the Red cross till 2005, had to have a complete hysterectomy in Nov. 2007, was hospitalized for a week in Feb. 2008 from a massive infection from the surgery and then May of 2008 was diagnosed with Hep C. I was so upset when I was diagnosed that I did talk to a lawyer and they gave the brush off because they said there is no way to pin point exactly when or how I got it, so I focused on treating the virus instead of the hows or whens. I finished 48 weeks of treatment on Aug. 3 of this year. I had to get bloodwork done on Sept 22 (09) and they did a complete check (liver function, viral load) because my ALT's were still high a month after treatment. As of now all my functions are within normal range and the virus is still undetectable. I go back for my 6 month bloodwork in Feb. I keep a positive attitude that I have beat this virus, it's not

going to beat me.
