Guest guest
Very little has changed since 9/11. The various intelligence and law enforcement agencies are still insular and competitive. This should surprise no one because that is the nature of bureaucracies and that is indeed what they are. I don't really think that combining them all into a few houses instead of many would be the right thing to do since different agencies have certain specialities and provide specialized intelligence to their parent entities. By that I mean Army Intelligence provides intel geared toward army operations which would be somewhat different from intel needed by the Navy or Air Force. Its not even likely that firing some directors and department heads would have any effect. Just as likely the bureaucrats who take their places would simply have a grudge against Congress or the White House, or be too afraid of losing their jobs too and become paralyzed.
