Could be. If we do, this is the kind of military action we should have taken instead of going into Iraq. Picking them off in outlying nations while at home driving hard on an energy independence program with the money not spent on occupying Iraq would have gradually left them no place to turn to but the Middle East itself. As we turned more and more away from the Middle East for oil, the more their money supply would dry up. Who knows, they might even knock of the House of Saud, which they have been trying to do for some time anyway. If they succeed now it will be very bad for us, them having control over the oil. If we had our own plans well under way now, it wouldn't be so much of problem and would give the world a good reason to adapt our new energy technologies, like garbage to oil, etc. In other words, they could be cut off from their only means of income, oil, and they would wither away, though perhaps after a last spasm or two of violence.

As I have said, look for some sort of strike on Yemen. We've already closed our embassy, and now we are ramping up the rhetoric.
