Guest guest
For those of you who had lots of > thick hair before surgery my question is: Did it grow back as thick > and healthy or is the healthiness and thickness gone forever? ======================== Deb For starters congrats on a wonderful 6 month report. Your doing great. I lost hair between 4 & 8 months post-op. You know the kind of hair- loss that plugs the drain in the shower/tub EVERYTIME you bathe. Your bathroom floor looks like it has a hair carpet on it no matter how often you sweep. And it is a real challenge to keep constantly falling hair out of the food your cooking. Sound familiar? lol. I Had very thick hair. Every time It was cut the hairdresser would comment on how much hair I had. Even though I lost tons of hair and my hair thinned...nobody but me and my hairdresser was really aware of it. I would say about 1/2 the thickness volume came back for me. Part of the reason I didn't regain more thickness is probably due to my age and menopause (a time where our hair will naturally thin). Hairdressers will comment today " your lucky you didn't lose any hair " So I'm not complaining because apparently I have plenty. I didn't take or use anything for hair-loss. I just let the hair fly where it may. But I was beginning to worry towards the end! lol Hugs Jo
