Guest guest
To be kinda frank the extradition program is rather dubious from a legal standpoint. Somewhat understandable since we wouldn't be thrilled with foreign agents doing the same thing over here. Perhaps they were driven to this because the Italian agencies wouldn't arrest this target themselves. This kind of thing has also cast a pall across our special operations people. Not only do they have strict rules of engagement, but they also worry about lawyers suing them, perhaps on behalf of the enemy combatants or perhaps just to make a name for themselves. Its really a wonder the Special Operations and Intelligence communities are even still operating since it is uncertain if this current administration will even bother to protect them, given how it has already treated the CIA earlier this year.
