I will find everything out on Wednesday at my 230pm appointment. He will let me know genotype, viral load, etc that day. It happens to be my boyfriend's birthday. I don't plan on sharing the news with him that day. , Are you going to treatment soon? Deborah

We all understand the initial shock and fear, hon.

Hang in, it does get easier as time goes on and you

better understand what is happening..

It will also help some when you are not so sick from the flu

on top of all else, sheesh!

Hi ,

Glad you can wait for the new meds and hope it won't

be much longer until they're approved.

I've been watching since 2006 and have not personally

seen anyone relapse that went through the clinical trials

with a protease inhibitor . This gives great hope to many.

Love,

Sheena

I have not even started my chemo yet but what I seem to hear is everyone has to wait and see how it effects them. Some are able to work and some it is harder on. I am hoping I can keep working. Some of the meds make your mind hazy or not work as well. I am a med aide and cannot afford to make mistakes on my pts meds so will really have to watch it. I hope I can keep my job going. I don't have a thyroid problem myself that I know of so not sure about that. Good luck and you are in my prayers and heart.

I am waiting for some newer drug that is suppose to be coming out soon that my doctor is hoping will have a larger % chance of a cure. So as long as my numbers are within the limits I can wait.

Thanks that gives me a lot of hope. How bad are the side effects , adverse effects? Any idea. My doc kind of thought they would be about the same as for the other drugs. She just says oh you will feel like you have the flu for a year.

I think the sides are basically the same, , but

Janet or one of the others that have already finished

a clinical trial can tell you better. As with all meds,

though, it is an individual thing.. Not all react the same.

But just knowing how good the chances are may be

enough to encourage one to try..

Thanks!

Hang in with us, learn all that you can here and through research

and if or when you decide to treat, you will be more than ready. :)

Believe or not,

First time I heard of it from anyone (tks Sheena) after 11 weeks, I JUST bought it at CVS and started using it as of now, it seens to help, it aliviates the sharp pain of the wound.

I am drinking about 3 litters of water a day, but not less than 2 litters a day. Is that enough?

I started the day GREAT, had a GREAT dream that really helped me open my eyes early morning with joy.

Love all,

Happy start for 2010 to all,

Thanks I sure will. You all keep reminding me this can be something to live with to fight but not necessasarily something to just die of.

I got a call this morning from my husband at work. He had just got a call from Ricky my step son his son. He said that Rickys grandmother Ricks ex mother in law had just died. I guess he may be going up to help Ricky get through the funeral if needed. Ricky was so upset. He had already been kind of upset about me being sick with this. Everything would not have been quite as bad if Rick had just told them the truth on me in the first place. Instead he told his mom, dad, brothers, son I had cancer of the liver now I got him trying to fit I now hove Hep C instead into this wild story of his. I just was honest with my family. Just not my boss.

Well better get to bed. Worked 14 hours last night.
