Guest guest
Making the decision to place your child in a hospital is heartbreaking...Keep in mind, your son's idea of refusing treatment is one made while not in a " balanced " state.... Only you and your doctors can properly evaluate whats right for him...guessing when his meds are correct & he starts feeling relief - he may thank you for your intervention.. Guest guest
He sounds frightened - don't blame him....If they are experts they have seen to all & know how to reach kids...They may get more out of him than he expects...whatever it takes to help him past this is the right step...keep us informed.. You are in my prayers...

Guest guest
Will he go to the appointment - and say nothing? At least they will have " eyes on " and maybe get some reactions or words from him. I'd just try to get him there, tell him " fine, you don't have to say anything, but we're going. " I hope he'll go. If mine refused, don't know how I'd get him there. However, here, if there was violence, such as his hitting me, I could call the police to come get him there for an eval. Might ask the doctors about that if you can't get him out of the house, an involuntary admission to hospital? Guest guest
P.S. Just replied, additional thought if my earlier thoughts can't be done. If he hits you again, call the police. Other parents have had to go that route, so you wouldn't be the first! > > > i spoke to the doctors 2day and they told me that they need to assess him while they know his condition very well..i told them that i agree for him to go to hospital but still they insisted that they need to see him first...when i spoke to my son he is refusing to talk to them at all and he said he is not going to tell them anything about whats going on...so i dont know what to do...any advice please??? > > > > > To: > From: lrbaka@... > Date: Mon, 20 Jun 2011 00:21:50 +0000 > Subject: Re: help needed please > > > > > > > Making the decision to place your child in a hospital is heartbreaking...Keep in mind, your son's idea of refusing treatment is one made while not in a " balanced " state.... > Only you and your doctors can properly evaluate whats right for him...guessing when his meds are correct & he starts feeling relief - he may thank you for your intervention.. > > > > > > >
