Hello Everyone,

I need any type of information I can get on Stills. I want my family to have

as clear of an understanding as possible of this horrible disease. My Docs

didn't have anything to share on the disease. Does anyone know where I can get

brochures with valid information on AOSD?

Disease Foundation. I have gone through all of my addresses and cannot find

your address on record so I take it that you haven't filled out the

information sheet when you join? There is that possibility that I missed it

being away a few times and missing some of my mail. But regardless, if you

will send me your Name, regular postal address with zip code and state, I

will send you a bunch of Brochures to Pass out to your Doctors, Relatives

and Friends and anyone else who seems to think that it's all in your head!

That's what they are for and there is no charge for them unless you want to

make a donation to the Foundation which keeps us in monies for postage etc.?

As soon as I receive the Info from you I will put them in the mail. I have a

few ready to go to the post office right now but I will wait for your

address? Take care now and be PAIN FREE! Love Ya'll!

Thank you, Bob. That's very kind. I took a look at all the different

pages on the site and couldn't find it, unless it's the " Orphanet "

PDF? I figured some of the folks in the group are like me and they

send everything by email these days, so having an electronic copy

would be quite handy.

Hi Bob...my name is Kathy Ferrari, and I am new to the group. I was

diagnosed with Stills earlier in the summer. I would greatly be interested

in receiving some brochures as well. I really appreciate your help and

I just wanted to welcome you to the group . I hope that you are having more

good days than bad. I am 35 years old and I was diagnosed with an aggressive

form of still's in May of 2005 If you have any questions or you just want to

vent please feel free too. You will find that people in the group know what you

are going through and can give you alot of information. I can tell you from

expirence that you will meet individuals in this group that are your strength

and comfort in times of dispare. For example, I was in the hospital the

beginning of July and I was not sure if things were going to be alright. The

people in the group sent me gifts, inspirational and funny cards, that made me

want to fight harder to get well.It let me know I was not alone and believe me

that was the most important thing.

How long did it take from onset of symptoms to you were diagnosed??? I know

where Milton,MA is because I have family who live in MA not far from MIlton. I

bet it is beautiful there in the winter. I live in Florida for the past 5 years

but I am from Bronx NY and I miss the seasons.

Hi Danni--nice of you to welcome me. I think you are lucky to have left NY

to live in FL! Actually, we are just now packing up my oldest son to go to

college in Florida, so he is escaping the cold winters...which are only

beautiful for about the first 10 minutes of the first snowstorm! I'm looking

forward to visiting him in January!

My symptoms began about 5 years ago, just before I turned 40. I was playing

a lot of tennis, and my wrist began to hurt me. They thought I had a

ganglion cyst and did surgery, which caused a lot of complications,

including a blood clot in my arm. Shortly after that I started aching

everywhere, and it's really just been in the last 6 months that all the

clues came together for Stills. Lucky me!

Anyway, I'm anxious to learn more about what's going on, so I have enjoyed

reading all the correspondance.
